Ridley Park, Pennsylvania
I moved to Ridley Park about 8 years ago. At the time I had been renting an apartment in the upper floors of an advertising agency in Abington, Pennsylvania. When I saw a "For Sale" sign appear on the front yard, I decided it might be time to look for another place to live.
It just so happens that at about this time my best friend and former college roommate, Nancy, was relocating to an apartment complex in Ridley Park. She was hoping to find a roommate to help her with the cost. Since we knew we could live together happily, and since I needed a place to go, I decided to move in with her. I hadn't even seen the place yet, but I knew her so well that I could agree without any reservation.
I lived in Ridley Park Court Apartments for several years. Nancy eventually married her boyfriend and they built a log home in Delaware. Not long after Nan moved out, I began thinking about buying a home. I decided to stay in Ridley Park. I'd grown very fond of the town. It reminds me of the town in New Hampshire where I grew up.
After a long search, I settled on a home near East Lake Park. I've been here since January of 2000 and I really love the area. I plan to add some pictures of my house and of the town in the near future. I just need to take the time to take a nice long walk around town with the digital camera.
